What Does “Prophecy” Mean?
Prophecy means God telling people something important, sometimes ahead of time, as in years, sometimes hundreds or thousands of years ahead of time.
Sometimes God spoke through special messengers called prophets.
Their job was to:
Remind people of God’s ways
Warn them when they were doing wrong
Encourage them when they were sad or afraid
Tell them about what God planned for the future
